Management Team

William E. Steele is Chairman and CEO of KenCast. Before starting KenCast, Dr. Steele worked for GTE for 14 years, spending the last five as General Manager of the GTE ImageSpan division of GTE Spacenet. Dr. Steele's other positions in the satellite and telecommunications industry include Vice President of Marketing at the Microband subsidiary of McDonnell-Douglas and Sales Manager at the American Satellite Corporation division of Fairchild. Dr. Steele was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Villanova University and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University.
Dr. H. Lewis Wolfgang III is President and Chief Technology Officer of KenCast, and a member of KenCast's Board of Directors. Dr. Wolfgang has special interests in combinatorics and algorithms, and is responsible for much of the innovative technology introduced by KenCast since he joined the company in 1997. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds an AM and AB (Summa Cum Laude) in Mathematics from Harvard University.
Susan C. Young is Vice President of Operations at KenCast. Before joining KenCast Mrs. Young was with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for 23 years. She was Vice President of Systems Development where she directed systems planning, design, implementation and maintenance of all automated systems. She holds a BS in French from Columbia University.
Michael J. Fischer is a Co-Founder of KenCast. A Professor of Computer Science at Yale University, Professor Fischer specializes in cryptographic protocols and distributed systems. He held the post of Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the ACM for 4 years and has published over 90 papers on theoretical computer science. Professor Fischer holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard and in the past has taught at Carnegie Mellon, MIT, and the University of Washington.
