Fazzt 10.3 Delivers More Than 5× Faster FEC Processing
Performance, Security and Compliance Enhancements Across the Fazzt Platform
KenCast's new release introduces important improvements in cryptographic compliance, system performance and operational flexibility. These updates strengthen the platform’s alignment with modern federal security standards while delivering meaningful gains in FEC processing performance and system responsiveness.
Compliance and Cryptography Fazzt 10.3 adds support for detecting and enforcing Windows FIPS 140-3 mode and uses native operating-system cryptographic libraries for applicable cryptographic functions. These changes support operation in environments with current federal cryptographic requirements while relying on trusted OS-level cryptographic services.
Performance Optimizations Several architectural improvements enhance overall system responsiveness and throughput. The SQL database layer has been tuned to improve query performance and database responsiveness. KenCast has also optimized Fazzt® FEC calculations for modern x86-64 processors using hardware-accelerated SIMD instructions, making FEC encoding and decoding more than 5× faster. The result is higher FEC processing throughput and greater capacity for demanding data-distribution environments.
Scheduling and Automation Fazzt 10.3 also adds scheduled-task support for transmitting specified files or directories, providing additional flexibility for automating recurring data-delivery workflows. Database reindexing support for Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL further improves system administration and maintenance.
Together, these enhancements further strengthen Fazzt’s performance, security and compliance while adding practical new capabilities for demanding distribution environments.
