Meet KenCast at IBC2026

Media distribution is becoming more complex. Content now moves across satellite, terrestrial RF, public internet, private networks, 5G, cloud and edge infrastructure—often through several paths within the same workflow. The challenge is no longer simply transmitting content. It is ensuring that content reaches every intended destination complete, correct and on time.

From Multicast to Assured Delivery

Multicast is an efficient way to deliver the same content to many locations. But transmission alone does not guarantee successful delivery at every receiver.

Packet loss, congestion, interference and signal fade can leave content incomplete or unusable.

For three decades, KenCast has delivered end-to-end IP content across satellite and terrestrial networks in production environments.

KenCast solutions protect content across RF and IP paths, enabling receivers to reconstruct missing data in real time without requiring a return channel or retransmission. This preserves the efficiency of one-to-many distribution while providing assurance that every authorized destination receives a complete and correct result.


Visibility Before Failure

An on-air failure may appear sudden, but the network conditions behind it often develop over time.

Latency may increase. Jitter may become less predictable. Packet loss may appear on one path while another continues to perform normally.


KenCast is developing network measurement capabilities designed to provide real-time visibility into latency, jitter, packet loss and path performance before network problems become operational failures.


Protecting Live Traffic

Live video presents a difficult tradeoff. Too little protection leaves a stream vulnerable to packet loss. Too much buffering or recovery can introduce unacceptable delay.


The objective is to maintain the right balance between reliability and latency as network conditions change. KenCast is exploring new approaches to protecting live video and real-time IP traffic across variable, impaired and hybrid networks.


Most adaptive video systems adjust the bitrate to fit the network. KenCast is also examining how the protection applied to the traffic can adapt.


The Infrastructure Beneath AI

AI can accelerate content creation, translation, localization and personalization. It can also create more files, more versions and more destinations.


AI does not eliminate the distribution problem. It multiplies it. Every output still has to reach the correct destination securely, efficiently and intact. The value of faster content creation is limited if distribution remains expensive, unreliable or uncertain.


Trusted Content Requires Trusted Transport

The media industry is placing greater emphasis on authenticity, provenance and security.


Trust, however, cannot end when content is created or authenticated. It must survive transport. Organizations need to know whether the correct content arrived, whether it remained complete and unchanged and whether every authorized destination received it. Trusted content requires a trusted distribution process.
